A LESSON OF LIFE...

PATIENCE:🤚🏻 A LESSON OF LIFE... I walked into a restaurant and after going through the menu, I ordered some food. After about 20 mins a group of guys and ladies walked in & ordered theirs. To my dïsmay, these fōlks got served first. I watched as they began to eat & laugh heartily. I even overheard one of them brãggiñg about how connected he is to everyone in the hotel and I felt mōçked. I decided to leave. Unable to take it anymore , I called the waiter. He calmly told me: "Yours is a special order, being prepared by the chief chef himself. Their orders were prepared hurriedly by students on attachment because the top chefs are busy with yours Sir. That's why they were served first. Please have some juice as you wait". I calmed down & waited patiëñtly. Shortly after, my meal was served by 6 waiters. Unknown to me, the owner of the hotel (who happened to be an old long lost friend of mine) saw me when I entered and decided to surprise me. She change...

Renew Your Mind...

Renew Your Mind... 'Once upon a time, a kind sage found a small mouse injured by a bird. The sage cared for it until it was healthy. The mouse was afraid of cats, then dogs, then lions - so the sage kept turning it into a cat, a dog, and a lion with his magic. But even as a lion, it remained timid and weak at heart, and the other creatures recognized its true nature. In the end, the mouse fell into danger because it hadn’t grown brave within.' -Moral: Outer form cannot change our true character; transformation must come from within. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will." - Romans 12:2

Leading By Serving

Leading By Serving "Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves." - Luke 22:26 +++ Many years ago a stranger riding on horseback came across a squad of soldiers who were trying to move a heavy log. A corporal stood by giving lordly orders to "heave." But the log was too heavy for the squad to move. So the stranger on horseback asked the corporal to give them a hand. "Me? Why, I am a corporal, Sir!" Dismounting, the stranger carefully took his place with the soldiers. "Now, all together, boys "heave!" the stranger said. And the heavy log slid right into place. The horseman? The stranger? He was George Washington! (1st President of the USA) +++ It has been said that you can tell a truly great person by the way he or she treats ordinary people. Suggested prayer: 'Dear God, you were and are truly the Servant of all. Teach me to serve like you, and fulfill your will fo...

BE DOERS OF THE WORD...

BE DOERS OF THE WORD... +++ At a university, a professor asked his students: "If there are four birds on a tree and three of them decided to fly away, how many are left on the tree?" Everyone answered, "One." They were surprised when one student disagreed and said, "Four birds remain." This caught everyone's attention. The professor asked him: "How so?" He replied: "You said they decided to fly, but you didn't say they actually flew. Making a decision doesn't mean taking action." And indeed, that was the correct answer. +++ This story reflects the lives of some people — they have many slogans and catchy words, and they shine in gatherings and among friends, but in reality, their lives don’t reflect those words. Many people talk and talk too much, blowing their own trumpet, but only a few act..! -Making a (decision) is one thing... -Taking (action) is something else entirely. "Dear children, let us not love w...

The Lamp and the Woman

So profound and inspiring for Mission Sunday👇🏻 Story: The Lamp and the Woman A young woman once complained to her pastor, “Father, I read the Bible every day, but I don’t understand much. The words go over my head. Maybe it’s not meant for me.” The pastor smiled and handed her a small lamp. He said, “Take this lamp and walk home tonight.” As she walked, the lamp only lit a few steps ahead. She could not see her whole path, but every step she took, more of the way became clear. The next day, she returned, and the pastor said, “God’s Word is like that lamp. You may not understand everything at once, but as you walk in obedience to what you already know, your path becomes clearer.” She began reading Scripture with a new prayer: “Lord, open my mind and guide my steps.” Her faith deepened and soon, she began teaching Scripture to children in her village, spreading the same light she had once struggled to see. What can we learn from this story , that connects us to the Mission Su...

CHANGE IS COMING, HELP IS ON THE WAY...

A short excerpt, worth sharing. +++ CHANGE IS COMING, HELP IS ON THE WAY... Two weeks ago, I was about to prepare lunch for my family, when I took out a fresh fish from the freezer. Suddenly my one year five months old daughter who stood by watching, started crying and demanding that I give her the fish to eat. I kept trying to tell her in my own way that the fish was raw, I needed to spice it up, cook and then take out the bones so it can be ready for consumption, but my toddler wouldn't hear but chose to cry louder and even fell to the ground and no one was able to comfort her. I decided to ignore her, went ahead to do what was right and when it was ready, she had her fish and didn't even remember all the drama she had put up. +++ But the Holy Spirit ministered to me that this is how many of us cry for a blessing that is not yet ready. God is saying I'm spicing it up, cooking it and taking out the bones so you don't get choked. If only my little daughter knew, s...
