Wife

●Don’t shout at your wife when you are talking. It really hurts her. (Proverbs 15:1) ●Do not speak evil of her to anyone. Your wife will become who you call her. (Gen. 2:19) ●Do not share her love or affection with another woman. It is called Adultery. (Matt. 5:28) ●Never compare your wife to another woman. If the other woman was good for you, God would have given her to you. (2 Cor. 10:12) ●Be gentle and accommodating. She has sacrificed so much to be with you. It hurts her deeply when you are hash and irritating. Be tender. (Eph. 4:2) ●Hide nothing from her. You are now one and she’s your helpmeet. Let there be no secret you are keeping from her. (Gen. 2:25) ●Do not make negative comment about her body. She risked her life and beauty to carry your babies. She is a living soul not just flesh and blood. ●Do not let her body determine her worth. What Is It To Be A Father....

One day, I was so angry, that I left home, swearing not to return, till I became a big guy. Parents, who can't even buy me a Bike, have no rights to dream to make me an Engineer. In my fit of anger, I didn't even realise that I was wearing my father's Shoes. I even stole his wallet, which had some papers, torn as well, which my mother won't seen... While, I was rushing on foot towards the bus station, I realised some prickly pain in my foot. I also felt dampness inside the shoe. That is when I realised the shoe had a hole underneath. There were no buses around. Not knowing what to do, I started to look in my Dad's wallet. I found a loan receipt of Rs. 40,000, which he taken from his office. A laptop bill (he had bought for me). To my utter shock, also found a letter from his manager to wear a neat looking shoes, henceforth to the office. I remembered my mother pestering him to buy a pair of new shoes, but he would convince her that his shoes would last another six m

The Greatest Operation!

I do believe God is faithful to answer prayer when we stand strong and believe that we will receive. We need to remember that we are created in the image of God. When God spoke to the darkness and said let there be light, there was light. Just as God's word is received and answered, we should have the same faith and know that once we ask God anything according to His will, God will be faithful to answer. +++ Once having lunch with a surgeon, a very interesting man, I asked. “Doctor, “what was the greatest operation you ever performed?” “Well,” he said, “I really don’t know of the many operations I have performed but perhaps the one that meant the most to me was the time I operated on a little girl who was given only 10 percent chance of survival. She was such a little thing, and so pale when they brought her into the operating room. “At that time, as the nurses were preparing to administer the aesthetic to this little girl, she asked, ‘Doctor, may I say something?’ “Yes, honey,” I

Fly Birdie Fly!

Resending this story being in context with today’s Gospel reading … Jesus said in John 15:5-6, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.” +++ Once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons. They were peregrine falcons, the most beautiful birds he had ever seen. He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to be trained. Months passed, and one day the head falconer informed the king that though one of the falcons was flying majestically, soaring high in the sky, while the other bird had not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived. The king summoned healers and sorcerers from all the land to tend to the falcon, but no one could make the bird fly. He presented the task to the member of his court, but the next day, the king

To Bless Is A Blessing!

Whenever we get an opportunity, we must try our best to be a blessing to someone else in need. God doesn't give us our talents and abilities solely for the purpose of being blessed, but also to be a blessing towards others. I encourage you to be a blessing and show the Jesus that lives within you openly with the rest of the world. +++ One night,  at 11:30 PM , an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rain storm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her – generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxi cab. She seemed to be in a big hurry! She wrote down his address, thanked him and drove away. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man’s door. To his surprise, a giant console colour TV was delivered to his home. A special note

He's Always By Your Side!

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.” – Psalm 91:2-6. +++ If you haven’t heard of the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of passage, here it is: His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the  morning sun  shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a MAN. He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some human might do him harm. The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man! Finally, after a horrific n

Beware of Wolves In Sheep Clothing.

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” – Matthew  7:15 . +++ This is a true story about a woman from Indonesia and had a pet snake, python, which she loved so much. The snake was 4 meters long and looked healthy. However, one day her unusual pet just stopped eating. This lack of appetite in the snake continued over a few weeks. The desperate woman tried everything she could and offered anything that a snake would like to strangle and eat. Nothing worked, and finally the woman took her loving pet to the veterinarian as a last resort. The vet listened to the woman carefully and asked, “Does your snake sleep with you at night, wrap around you closely and spread out throughout its length?” The woman was surprised and with a lot of hope she said, “Yes! Yes! It does it every day and it makes me so sad because I see something asking of me, and I cannot help it feel better.” Then, the vet said something shocking and mos

A True Story....

A man from   Norfolk VA, called a local radio station to share this on Sept 11th, 2003, TWO YEARS AFTER THE TRAGEDIES OF 9/11/2001.  His name was Robert Matthews. These are his words:  A few weeks before Sept. 11th, my wife and I found out we were going to have our first child. She planned a trip out to California to visit her sister.  On our way to the airport, we prayed that God would grant my wife a safe trip and be with her. Shortly after I said 'amen,' we both heard a loud pop and the car shook violently.. We had blown out a tire. I replaced the tire as quickly as I could, but we still missed her flight.. both very upset, we drove home..  I received a call from my father who was retired NYFD. He asked what my wife's flight number was, but I explained that we missed the flight.  My father informed me that her flight was the one that crashed into the southern tower. I was too shocked to speak. My father also had more news for me; he was going to help. 'This is not so

+++ There was a good-natured millionaire in the town. Three beggars thought of approaching him for help. The first man went to the millionaire and said: “O Boss! I want five rupees. Please give me.” The millionaire was taken aback at this man’s impudence. “What! You demand five rupees from me as though I owe you the money! How dare you? How can I afford to give five rupees to a single beggar? Here, take these two rupees and get away,” he said. The man went away with the two rupees. The next beggar went to the millionaire and said: “Oh Boss! I have not taken a square meal for the past ten days. Please help me.” “How much do you want?” asked the millionaire. “Whatever you give me,” replied the beggar. “Here, take this ten rupee note. You can have nice food for at least three days.” The beggar walked away with the ten rupee note. The third beggar came. “Oh Boss, I have heard about your noble qualities. Therefore, I have come to see you. Men of such charitable disposition are verily the ma

Father, Thy Will Be Done....

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done…” – Matthew 6:9-10. Since God is all-powerful and “does whatever He pleases” (Psalm 115:3), why do we need to pray for His will to be done when His will is going to occur anyway? Have you ever considered that Jesus may have included this in the model prayer in order to help us align our thinking and actions with God’s purpose and plan for us? He wants us to obey Him from our hearts and not outwardly. +++ Once the parents of a little boy had visitors and they were sitting in the lounge and chatting. After sometime the little boy who was sitting on a chair got up and started jumping on it. A few minutes passed and it was getting a bit irritating and disturbing to the parents. This time the father, a bit sternly, insisted the little boy to sit down and not t

God's Court!

Always, before assessing the pros and cones and making calculations, we should seek the Will of God. The reason for many failures are the reluctance to seek the Will of God. First, we should go to the court of God. If we trust His court, we could avoid many cases filed in the earthly courts. It is when we try to be gods that we journey through the roads of power and fight. There we try to win and defeat others. "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" – Hebrews 13:6. +++ As the child entered his neighbor’s house, he found all of them very unhappy and gloomy.  He thought that something unpleasant had happened to them. As he arrived home, he asked his mother; ‘Mother, why are they so gloomy?’  ‘Because the local court has judged against them and so they failed the case.’ Mother replied. ‘So what will they do?’ the child inquired curiously. ‘They can appeal in the district court for a favorable decision,’ said the Mother. ‘Suppose that decis

True Master/Boss!

He is our strength (Psalm 81:1) and our helper in times of trouble.  I encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer and invite Him to be the guide and master of your life. +++ One fine Morning the King was going for a walk with his ministers. On his way he saw a young boy playing in the mud. The King ordered his soldier to bring that boy to him and they followed his orders. The King asked the boy, Why are you playing in the mud, you seem to be educated. Why are you spoiling your clothes? The boy smiled and replied, “Your Majesty, I’m playing in the mud because I’m made up of this mud and after I die, I’ll again turn into this mud. The King was amazed with the young boy’s answer. The minister went to The King and whispered in his ear, “Your Majesty, I think this boy is very intelligent and learned, why not make him our Advisor, since we are looking for one.” The King was convinced by his minister’s words and thought this boy would be a perfect Advisor for him. The King asked the boy, “Will

Bible v/s Mobile Phones

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones? +++ What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we flipped through it several times a day? What if we used it to receive messages? What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it? What if we gave it to kids as gifts? What if we used it as we traveled? What if we used it in case of an emergency? What if we upgraded to include  24/7  tech service from the Holy Spirit? This is something to make you go…hmmm…where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phones, we don’t ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill! +++ “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. You Are God's Special!

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value in God's eyes. To Him, dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to Him. Psalm 17:8 states that God will keep us, "as the apple of His eye." +++ A man went to God and asked, “What’s the value of life?” God gave him one stone and said, “Find out the value of this stone, but don’t sell it.” The man took the stone to an Orange Seller and asked him what it’s cost would be. The Orange Seller saw the shiny stone and said, “You can take 12 oranges and give me the stone.” The man apologized and said that the God has asked him not to sell it. He went ahead and found a vegetable seller. “What could be the value of this stone?” he asked the vegetable seller. The seller saw the shiny stone and said, “

Up or Down?

Much has been written about the sinking of the Titanic on its century anniversary.  A lot has been true and some folklore. One story tells of a crewman who told a passenger upon embarkation that, “No one could sink this ship, not even God.” The liner went down on its first voyage on April 15, 1912, carrying 2,223 passengers. The sinking caused the death of 1,514 of them. +++ On the same ship there was a Baptist preacher John Harper. This Baptist minister actually ran around the deck shouting ‘Women and children and unsaved people, get aboard the lifeboats.’ He even took off his life vest and gave it to a man who was not a believer in Jesus Christ. He said: ‘Here, take this. I don’t need it. I’m not going down – I’m going up!’ Harper did not stop evangelizing to a non-believer he encountered while enduring the frigid waters of the Atlantic. Harper’s last words were ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved.’ A few weeks later in Hamilton, Ontario, that same man said I li

Whatever You Do..... Glorify Him!

I flipped the switch, but wasn't surprised when it gave no light. I unscrewed it and shoot it to get the batteries out, but they wouldn't budge. Finally, after some effort, they came loose. What a mess! Battery acid had corroded the entire inside of the flashlight. The batteries were new when I'd put them in, and I'd stored them in a safe, warm place. But there was one problem. Those batteries weren't made to be warm and comfortable. They were designed to be turned on -- to be used." +++ It's the same with us. We weren't created to be warm and comfortable. Where To Get Happiness

“When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.” – Ecclesiastes  7:14 . +++ There is an Eastern tale of a wealthy king who ruled a vast domain and lived in a magnificent palace. In spite of all his authority, power and extensive possessions, he was very unhappy. Among the servants in his court there was a renowned sage whose counsel the king frequently asked in times of difficulty and crisis. This sage was summoned to the king’s presence. The monarch asked him how to get rid of his anxiety and depression of spirits, how he might be really happy, for he was sick in body and mind. The sage replied, “There is but one cure for the king. Your Majesty must sleep one night in the shirt of a happy man.” Messengers were dispatched throughout the realm to search for a man who was truly happy. But everyone who was approached had some cause for misery, something that robbed

To Love & To Be Loved!

It is very easy for us to be selfish and only care about our own well- being, but I believe it shows more character in a person that cares about the wellness of others. The apostle John tells us to not only love in words but also love in deeds. He means for us to not only talk about helping others, but do something that will help someone else who is not able to help themselves in a particular situation. +++ Once upon a time, there lived a very poor man who lived with his wife. One day, his wife, who had very long hair, asked him to buy her a comb for her hair to grow well and to be well-groomed. The man felt very sorry and said no. He explained that he did not even have enough money to fix the strap of his watch he had just broken. She did not insist on her request. The man went to work and passed by a watch shop, sold his damaged watch at a low price and went to buy a comb for his wife. He came home in the evening with the comb in his hand ready to give to his wife. He was surprised w

The Way To Happiness.....

One message I want to send out to you my dear is to spread happiness to other people’s lives and it will come back to you. A person who is good and gives love and happiness will surely receive good, love and happiness. +++ Once a group of 500 people were attending a seminar and suddenly the speaker stopped and decided to do a group activity. He started giving each person a balloon. Each person was then asked to write their name on it using a marker pen. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another room. The people were then let into that room and asked to find the balloon which had their name written on it within 5 minutes. Everyone was frantically searching for their name, colliding with each other, pushing around others and there was utter chaos. At the end of 5 minutes no one could find their own balloon. Then, the speaker asked each person to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it. Within minutes everyone had their own balloon.

Encourage One Another, Daily!

"…but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching." – Hebrews  10:25 . There has always been discouragement, negativism, and temptation in the world because of Lucifer. Discouragement is not the absence of adequacy but the absence of courage. A big test we all face in life on a regular basis is that Discouragement Test. Life's not always fair, but I believe if you keep doing the right thing, taking no heed to what others say, God will get you to where you are, in His perfect time and in His perfect will. +++ As a boy he worked long hours in a factory in Naples. He longed to be a singer, and when he was only ten years old, he had his first voice lesson. "You can't sing. You haven't any voice at all. Though very poor, putting her arms around him, she said, "My boy, I

You Are Not Home Yet!

+++ I love the story of the old missionary couple. A couple went to Africa to serve as missionaries right after they were married. They had planned to serve only a couple of years and then return home. They soon fell in love, however, with the kind people they had come to help. They stayed on year after year setting up a clinic and a school helping the people build a sanitation system so they could have clean water, teaching children to read and learn, and sharing their faith and love daily with the villagers that they cared so deeply about. Finally, after over 50 years of faithful work, failing health caused the couple to decide to come home again. They wrote to their hometown community and church to let them know when they were coming. After sailing several days they arrived in the port community that they grew up in. They smiled when they saw a large crowd cheering the boat as it anchored. Their smiles and hearts fell, though, when they saw that the crowd was there to cheer a local

So he ordered that the servant be thrown to the dogs. The servant said, “I served you for ten years, and you do this to me? Please give me ten days before throwing me to those dogs!” The king agreed. In those ten days, the servant went to the guard who looks after the dogs and told him he would like to serve the dogs for the next ten days. The guard was baffled but agreed, and the servant started feeding the dogs, cleaning them, bathing them and providing all sorts of comfort for them. When the ten days were over, the king ordered that the servant be thrown to the dogs for his punishment. When he was thrown in, all were amazed to see the ravenous do
