Who Is Packing Your Parachute?

+++ Air Commodore  Arthur Henry  was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely. He won acclaims and appreciations from many. After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him and said "You're Captain  Arthur Henry ! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!" "How in the world did you know that?" asked  Arthur . "I packed your parachute," the man smiled and replied. Arthur  gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn't worked, I wouldn’t be here today. Arthur  couldn't sleep that night, thinking about that man. He wondered how many times I might have seen him and not even said 'Good morning, how are you?' or anything because, he was a fighter pilot and that person was just a safety worker." +++ So friends, who is packing your parachute? Everyone has someone who provides w

"Would You Hold The BABY?"

+++ Years ago a young man was riding a bus from Chicago to Miami. He had a stop-over in Atlanta. While he was sitting at the lunch counter, a woman came out of the ladies restroom carrying a tiny baby. She walked up to this man and asked, "Would you hold my baby for me? I left my purse in the restroom." He did. But as the woman neared the front door of the bus station, she darted out into the crowded street and was immediately lost in the crowd. This guy couldn't believe his eyes. He rushed to the door to call the woman, but couldn't see her anywhere. Now what should he do? Put the baby down and run? When calmness finally settled in, he went to the Traveler's Aid booth and together with the local police, they soon found the real mother. You see, the woman who'd left him holding the baby wasn't the baby's real mother. She'd taken the child. Maybe it was to satisfy some motherly urge to hold a child or something else. No one really knows. But we do k

Sweeter One, For You!

“If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.  Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.” – Matthew 5:41-42. +++ A lovely little girl was holding two apples, one in each hand. Her mum came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile; “My sweetie, could you give your mum one of your two apples? ” The girl looked up at her mum for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly another bite on the other. What is this, the mum thought. The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment. Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mum and said: “Mummy, here you are. This is the sweeter one, you can have it.” The mum’s head fell in shame for doubting her daughter. +++ No matter who you are, how experienced you are, and how knowledgeable you think you are, always delay judgment. Give others the privilege to explain themselves. Jesus Took The Fall....

The sacrifice that the Lord Jesus Christ made for mankind was one of unbelievable love. The Lord loved humanity so greatly that He willingly chose to become our sacrificial lamb to die in our stead to redeem us from our sins. We are to recognize and remember how great a cost it was so that you and I might become the righteousness of God.  There is nothing that we personally could ever do to earn our salvation. The Bible is very clear that salvation comes only through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Him lays our salvation, our peace, our Joy, our health, and in Heaven a home built just for you by the Master. Rejoice in this priceless gift that is freely offered to all who will receive which is called Salvation. I hope you are blessed and encouraged by this simple story. +++ A number of years ago a lighthouse was being built on the rock-bound coast of Wales. When the building was nearly completed, one of the workmen stumbled and fell back through the scaffolding to the rocks

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year 2016

My dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ Wishing you all the joys of the Christmasand Holy-Day Season. A Christmas Message for each one of us: NEVER LOOK BACK TO 2015 AS 2016 WILL BE A BEAUTIFUL YEAR AHEAD; BEING THE JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY. Warmest regards and wishes to you and your family. Golden Box.

In this season of love, may we all remember the beautiful love of a small child. Have a meaningful and love-filled Christmas season and New Year ahead. May your days be filled with love, joy, growth, and inspiration. +++ Once upon a time, there was a man who worked very hard just to keep food on the table for his family. This particular year a few days before Christmas, as money was tight; he punished his little five-year-old daughter after learning that she had used up the family's only roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. He became even more upset when on Christmas Eve he saw that the child had used all of the expensive gold paper to decorate one shoebox she had put under the Christmas tree. He also was concerned about where she had gotten money to buy what was in the shoebox. Nevertheless, the next morning the little girl, filled with excitement, brought the gift box to her father and said, "This is for you, Daddy!" As he opened the box, the father was embarrassed by

God Needs Godly Leaders

1 Kings begins with David, the man after God’s own heart, and ends with Ahab, the worst king ever to rule over Israel. Israel begins as a powerful nation and ends as a divided nation and with many evil kings ruling over both kingdoms – especially over Israel.  The condition of God’s people depends greatly on the spirituality or the lack of it in their leaders. Whenever Israel had a godly leader, they moved forward in godly ways. When they had a carnal leader, they moved away from God into carnality.   The great need among God’s people has always been for godly leaders. Jesus looked out at the multitudes in His day and saw them as sheep without a shepherd. He told His disciples to pray that God would thrust forth shepherds into the midst of His people  (Matt.9:36-38)  When God looks at the churches and families across the world today, He sees the same need for godly leaders and godly parents. The challenge that comes to us then is to satisfy the heart of God in our generation by being t

What's God Like?

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8. +++ There is a story about the small boy who "was consistently late coming home from school. His parents warned him one day that he must be home on time that afternoon, but nevertheless, he arrived later than ever. His mother met him at the door and said nothing. His father met him in the living room and said nothing. "At dinner that night, the boy looked at his plate. There was a slice of bread and a glass of water. He looked at his father's full plate and then at his father, but his father remained silent. The boy was crushed. The father waited for the full impact to sink in, then quietly took the boy's plate and placed it in front of himself. He took his own plate of meat and potatoes, put it in front of the boy, and smiled at his son. When that boy grew up, he said,  'All my life I've known what God is like by what my father did that nigh

We Will Reap A Harvest....

Hebrews  13:16  – “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” +++ A woman baked bread for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra bread on the Window-sill, for whosoever would take it away. Every day, a hunch-back came and took away the bread. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way: "The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" This went on, day after day. Every day, the hunch-back came, picked up the bread and uttered the words: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" The woman felt irritated. "Not a word of gratitude," she said to herself..."Everyday this hunch-back utters this jingle! What does he mean? One day, out of desperation, she decided to do away with him, "I shall get rid of this hunch-back," she said. And what did she do? She added p

Gimme...Gimme...Gimme!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” – Philippians 4:6. +++ Gene Barron writes how, when he was a boy, his family had a neighbor who frequently came to their back door. Her reason for coming was always the same, "I just wanted to borrow _______." The problem was that she never came at any other time—only when she wanted something. My mother was always gracious and gave her what she wanted, but didn't appreciate her as much as the other neighbors—especially the one who came frequently but never asked for anything, but would simply say, "Just stopped by for a visit." +++ When it comes to prayer, it is true that God does want us to make our requests known to him, but sometimes I feel my prayers are more, "Give me … give me … give me!" I know God is gracious and does hear and answer my prayers, but how much better it would be to come to him not only in times of

Nothing Shall Be Impossible For God!

"For with God nothing will be impossible." – Luke  1:37 . +++ "For nothing shall be impossible for God." Luke  1:37 records these words that Gabriel spoke to Mary. How well they speak to the heart of Christmas! The first Christmas was a time when God proved to the world that He is a God for whom nothing is impossible.” A barren senior citizen having a child? Impossible! But God caused Elizabeth to shout for joy when baby John was born. A virgin becoming pregnant and remaining a virgin? Impossible! But God made it so! God becomes man without ceasing to be God? Impossible! But Immanuel was born. God forgives all our sin and gives heaven as a gift -- without requiring any good work on our part? Impossible! But Christ the Savior is born. +++ You say that life seems hopeless -- or at least offers little hope. Don't you see that Christmas is God's ultimate proof to you that with Him there is always hope? Don't give up, Christian! By sending Jesus Christ, God c

Behold, I make all things New.

As we enter the New Year 2016, trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. "C ertainly the Lord will make all things new in your life"  Rev 21:5,   In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.  Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the LORD and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7. Delight your self in the Lord for He shall give thee the desires of your heart, Commit thy ways unto the Lord and trust in him and he shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37: 4 -5.    Many are the plan in a man's heart but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.   Prov 19: 21. The above verse  declares  the  sovereignty of  God over  the  plans  of  men, we may  plot and scheme  to be able  to have our plans  come to pass year after year but only God  knows if they  will be able  to attain  them as He and He  alone knows the future. We know our past, we know our present but we do not know our future, certainly we know one thing that, God holds our fu

Glorify God In Your Giving!

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.” — Matthew 25:45. +++ The knock at our door came at about  9:00 p.m.  There stood a thin, young Black man. “Reverend Weary, I’m hungry,” he said. “Could you loan me twenty dollars to get some food?” Many negative thoughts ran through my mind. Is he  really  hungry, or is he only looking for money to buy alcohol or drugs? Is he hungry because he spent all of his money on alcohol or drugs and then expects me to feed him? How could I be sure the man begging for money wouldn't use it for drugs? Usually, if someone comes to my door asking for a handout, I take him to the store and buy some food. But with the house full of visitors, I had to make a quick judgment. So I prayed,  'Lord, use this gift to bless this man.' “Reverend Weary,” he said, “I’m going to pay you back.” “No,” I said, “this is a gift from God. Use it to glorify Christ.” He walked away, and I returned to my guest

Why was Gold, Incense, & Myrrh was the first Christmas Gift to Jesus

Usually when we go to visit a newly born baby we give the gifts required for the baby, like toys, new clothes for the baby etc, but  the wise men brought gifts of gold, Frankincense, and myrrh. It may be very strange for us but I am very sure that the wise men were guided by the Holy Spirit to give Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh (Math  2:11 ). Gold was usually given to the king in those days. Frankincense was usually given to the priest. Myrrh was usually given to embalm the dead body. Why was these gifts given to baby Jesus?   Gold—His Sovereign Dominion Usually Gold was a gift presented to a king. It was the most precious metal and it symbolized royalty. The wise men recognized that this baby who was born in a manger was no ordinary baby but He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. (Rev  17:14 ), the wise men knew this baby was God, and they fell down in worship of Him. Isaiah 9:6 states clearly, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon H
