Just Passing Through.

It is important that we don't put so much emphasis on the physical aspects of life, but we should focus more on the spiritual aspect, which is eternal and will not perish like the material things of this world.  Paul tells us, “Do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.  For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Material greed is foolishness in the eyes of God and how many people waste their life in pursuit of what God gives freely those who love Him.

An American tourist's visited a priest, Hofetz Chaim, and was astonished to see that the priest home was only a simple room filled with books plus a table and a bench.

The tourist asked, 'Reverend Father Chaim, where is your furniture?'

'Where is yours?' replied the priest.

'Mine?' asked the puzzled American.  But I'm a visitor here.  I'm just passing through'.

"So am I', said the priest."

The fact of the matter is that we are ALL just passing through.

Examine your life in terms of the things that God has given you. Do you selfishly accumulate things for yourself or do you use what God has given to bring Him glory by ministering to the needs of those around you?

Wealth should not define who we are, but instead our wealth should be judged in whose we are. Money does not impress God, but a heart seeking His face and will for our life does. No matter how wealthy a person may be in life, if they do not know Jesus as their personal Saviour; then that person is poor in God’s eyes.

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." – Matthew 6:19-21.

Blessed Day!
