Fly Barnabas, Fly…

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His Might. Do not allow yourself to question If you are able to overcome the obstacles that come before you, but rather be reassured and know that the qualities that God has placed within you are more than sufficient to overcome and be triumphant over every trial that comes your way.

The Bible declares in Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” 

Recognize your gifts and know that you are special and irreplaceable in God’s eyes.

There was a man who made a living selling balloons at a fair. He had all colors of balloons, including red, yellow, blue, and green.

Whenever business was slow, he would release a helium-filled balloon into the air and when the children saw it go up, they all wanted to buy one. They would come up to him, buy a balloon, and his sales would go up again. He continued this process all day.

One day, he felt someone tugging at his jacket. He turned around and saw a little boy who asked, "If you release a black balloon, would that also fly?"

Moved by the boy's concern, the man replied with empathy, "Son, it is not the color of the balloon, it is what is inside that makes it go up."

"VOILA" –

The same thing applies to our lives. It is what is inside that counts. The thing inside of us that makes us go up is our attitude.

The gifts that God has instilled within each of us are unique and separate from what anyone else possesses. Many times, we become discouraged because of the trials that come our way and forget of the great power that God has placed within us. We are to recognize our spiritual blessings and remember that greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

We are called to accomplish great things and God has given us His blessings to reach them.

Yesterday we read that, to others, we are to be ‘Barnabas’, “Son of Encouragement”, right?

So, today you are a Barnabas to yourself. Be “ENCOURAGED” and “KNOW” that you are ‘BLESSED’, ‘LOVED’ and ‘FAVOURED’ by God, for He is within YOU...
