Anger, a Deadly Sin...

“In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry…” – Ephesians 4:26.

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.

A snake entered a carpentry shop and as it crawled to the corner, it went through a hacksaw and hurt himself a little bit.

At that time, he turned and bit the hacksaw and by biting the hacksaw he hurt himself badly in the mouth.

Then, not understanding what was happening to him and thinking that the hacksaw was attacking him, he decided to roll around the hacksaw as if wanting to suffocate him with his whole body and shaking with all his strength.

Unfortunately, the snake ended up being killed by the hacksaw.

“For as churning cream produces butter, and as twisting the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife.” – Proverbs 30:33.

Sometimes we react in anger, thinking about hurting those who hurt us, but we are hurting ourselves.

In life, sometimes it is better to ignore situations, people and offenses because the consequences can be irreversible and catastrophic.

We will not be punished for our anger but we will be punished by our anger.

He who angers us conquers us. So let not anyone conquer us, because we are more than conquerors through Jesus who loves us. (Romans 8:37).

Stay Blessed!
